چکیده

To weaken the harm of Al–Si coating and increase strength welded joints, variable thicknesses Ni foil (Ni, an austenitic formation element) were added to lap laser welding Al–Si-coated 22MnB5 hot stamping steel/galvanized steel joints. The joints’ weld appearance, microstructure, mechanical properties explored. altered from X shape a Y with increased thickness foil. During welding, was melted diluted into pool, forming δ-ferrite (a rich-Al phase low toughness strength) in fusion zone (FZ) boundary (FB). This deteriorated After adding Ni, amount size decreased. With significant foil, disappeared. However, new (fresh martensite (FM), which formed at temperature contained rich Ni) probably formed, except PM (previous (PM), high little or no Ni). heat-affected (HAZ) on side comprised coarse zone, refined + ferrite tempered FZ basic material. HAZ galvanized mainly pearlite. joint greater than that without Ni. maximum can be up 679 MPa because disappearance δ-ferrite. Meanwhile, increased. fracture mode three mixed fractures (cleavage, quasi-cleavage, dimple) one (dimple).

Study on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Laser Welded Joints of 1.7225 Steel

The aim of the present study is to investigate the mechanical and microstructural properties of 1.7225 steel in laser welding process using Nd:YAG pulsed laser device and then to determine the optimal focal length relative to the part in the welding area. After welding, microstructural characterization, microhardness and tensile tests were performed. Evaluations showed that the optimal focal le...

Effect of Welding Parameters in the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Friction-Welded Joints of 100Cr6 Steel

In this study, high-carbon, chromium alloy steel (100Cr6) having the initial spheroidized microstructure was welded using the rotary friction welding method. The effects of process parameters such as friction time and friction force were experimentally investigated. The friction welded joints were produced of two 100Cr6 steel rods. In order to examine the microstructure and mechanical properti...

Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Narrow Gap Laser-Arc Hybrid Welded 40 mm Thick Mild Steel

Both laser-arc hybrid welding and narrow gap welding have potential for the fabrication of thick sections, but their combination has been seldom studied. In this research, 40 mm thick mild steel was welded by narrow gap laser-arc hybrid welding. A weld with smooth layer transition, free of visible defects, was obtained by nine passes at a 6 mm width narrow gap. The lower part of the weld has th...
